The Vernatun Publishing House was founded with the belief that a book is not just a means of transmitting information, but an important repository of cultural memory, thinking and values. We publish works by Armenian and world classical and contemporary authors, selecting those works that have withstood or can withstand the test of time, deepen the reader’s level of insight, and broaden their worldview.
The name of the publishing house refers to the famous literary group founded by Hovhannes Tumanyan, which united intellectuals, writers and artists, creating an environment of free thought and creative dialogue. It is this ideological heritage that in many cases is still a guide for us today.
Our mission
Our mission is to make literature accessible to the reader, which promotes the formation of a high value system in society. We believe that a good book can change a person’s life, open up new worlds within and around a person.
“Vernatun” strives to be a reliable companion for the reader, offering books that are definitely good literature; after all, not every book is literature.
