Description
In “The Danger of Complete Loss”, Garegin Nzhdeh addresses Armenia’s geographical position, which he considers even more critical than its political fate. He seems to have anticipated the Forty-Four-Day War, pointing directly to the ambitions of Pan-Turkism.
Speaking about globalization and its challenges, Nzhdeh emphasizes patriotism and the importance of relying on one’s own strength. He criticizes the illusion of attributing misfortunes to external causes and expecting salvation from foreign powers. “Let us not be terrified, but without false illusions and unnecessary prejudices, let us accept this bitter truth: our future is in danger,” the commander warns.
Because “peoples unable to defend themselves by their own strength are punished by death,” Nzhdeh calls for focus, renewal, education, re-formation, and armament.
